Editorial Policy
Tool pages should be useful first: clear instructions, real examples, and honest limits. This page explains the signals you’ll see (published/updated dates, authors, reviews) and how we handle corrections.
- We try to describe what the tool does and what it does not do.
- Examples should match real tool behavior.
- When a topic relies on an external standard (RFCs, file formats, specs), we prefer linking to primary sources.
Some pages may show:
- Published and Updated dates (when the page/tool was created and last materially changed).
- Author (who wrote/maintains the page content).
- Reviewed by (used selectively for higher-stakes tools, such as security/privacy-related content).

We only show review signals if a real review happened. We do not add ratings or review markup unless real, visible user reviews exist on the page.
If you find an error or unclear wording, please let us know. We’ll aim to fix issues and, when appropriate, update the page’s Updated date.
For tool-specific questions, start from the tool page and check the privacy note (in-browser vs server-side) and the FAQ.
