The Text Path Maker places your words on a line, circle, arc, wave, or path that you draw. Type in the editor, select a path, and export the design as PNG, JPG, or SVG.
How to use the Text Path Maker
- Enter your words in the Text field.
- Select a line, circle, arc, or wave in the canvas toolbar. Use the pencil or pen for a custom path.
- Set the font, size, spacing, color, position, and effect.
- Select Export and choose PNG, JPG, or SVG.
Drag the text on the canvas to move it. Use the alignment controls when the words start too early or too late on the path.
Make text follow a circle, arc, wave, or custom path
Use a circle for badges and seals. Use an arc for headings, cards, and logos. Use a wave for social graphics. Use a straight path when you only need exact spacing and position.
For another shape, select the pencil and drag on the canvas. The pen makes a path from each point that you add. Select the check mark when the path is complete.
Add multiple text paths
Select the plus button in Text layers to add another line. A design can have up to eight text layers. Each layer can use a different path, font, color, effect, position, and rotation.
Use the eye button to hide a layer without deleting it. Use the trash button beside a layer to remove it.
Put text on a photo
Select Upload image to add a JPG, PNG, or WebP background. The image fills the canvas. Add curved text above it, or set a color behind the image.
The editor reads the image in your browser. It does not send the image to a Textavia server.
Choose PNG, JPG, or SVG
- PNG keeps a transparent background and is suitable for overlays, stickers, and posts.
- JPG creates a flat image with a solid background and is suitable for photos.
- SVG keeps the paths and text as vector elements for further editing.
The PNG and JPG exports use twice the selected canvas dimensions. A system font can look different when an SVG is opened on a device that does not have that font. Use PNG when the exact appearance is more important than vector editing.
Text path ideas
- Create a round badge with text above and below an image.
- Add a curved title to a Pinterest pin, Instagram post, Reel cover, or Story.
- Make a wave heading for a slide, gift card, invitation, or birthday message.
- Place several short phrases on separate paths in one design.
Fix common text path problems
Part of the text is missing
Reduce the font size or letter spacing. You can also move the Path position control so that more text fits on the visible part of the path.
The text is on the wrong side of the curve
Select the upward or downward arc. For a circle, change the path position or add a second layer for the lower text.
The exported JPG has no transparency
JPG does not support transparent pixels. Export a PNG or SVG instead.
The uploaded image looks cropped
The editor fills the selected canvas with the image. Choose a canvas preset with an aspect ratio that is close to the source image.
