JPG to PDF Converter - Free Online Tool
What is a JPG to PDF converter?
A JPG to PDF converter combines one or more JPG/JPEG images into a single PDF document. Use it to turn phone photos of receipts, scanned pages, or whiteboard notes into one file you can email, upload, or archive. PDF generation runs locally in your browser, so your images are not uploaded for conversion.
How to use the JPG to PDF converter
- Add your JPGs: Choose one or more
.jpgor.jpegfiles. - Reorder pages: Use the up and down arrows to set the page order before converting.

Why use this JPG to PDF tool?
- One clean attachment: Combine multiple photos into a single PDF for email or uploads.
- Print-friendly layouts: Use A4 or Letter with margins when you need consistent pages.
- Private, local processing: PDF generation happens on your device in the browser.
Page size, orientation, and margins (quick guide)
The layout options control how your images fit onto PDF pages:
- Fit to image: Each PDF page matches the image dimensions. This is ideal for simple archiving or when you do not want resizing.
- A4 or Letter: Each page uses a standard paper size. The image is scaled to fit within the page while preserving aspect ratio, then centered with your chosen margin.
- Orientation: Auto picks portrait vs landscape based on each image. Choose Portrait or Landscape to force a consistent layout.
- Margin (pt): PDF margins are measured in points (72 pt = 1 inch). A margin of 12 pt is about 0.17 inches.
Use case 1: Send receipts as one PDF
Snap multiple receipt photos, reorder them, and export one PDF for reimbursements or bookkeeping.
Use case 2: Turn scans into a document
Convert a sequence of scanned pages into a single PDF for sharing, signing, or storage.
Use case 3: Package a photo set for clients
Combine a set of JPG proofs into one PDF so clients can review and comment without downloading multiple files.
Examples
Basic example (fit to image)
Inputs: page-1.jpg, page-2.jpg, page-3.jpg
Settings: Page size: Fit to image; Orientation: Auto; Margin: 0
Output: One PDF with each page sized to the corresponding image.
Advanced example (print-ready)
Inputs: receipt-01.jpg, receipt-02.jpg
Settings: Page size: A4; Orientation: Portrait; Margin: 12 pt
Output: A consistent A4 PDF you can print or submit to systems that expect standard page sizes.
When to use JPG (and when not to)
JPG is a strong default for photos because it keeps file sizes reasonable. But it is not always the best choice:
- If your input is a screenshot, UI capture, or diagram, PNG often looks sharper; use PNG to PDF.
- If your input is HEIC from an iPhone, convert first with HEIC to JPG.
- If you need to keep the smallest possible PDF, resize images before converting with the image resizer & compressor.
Common errors
"This tool accepts JPG/JPEG images only"
If your files are PNG, HEIC, or WebP, convert them first. iPhone photos are often HEIC; use HEIC to JPG before creating a PDF.
Pages come out sideways
If the output orientation does not match your expectation, switch Orientation from Auto to Portrait or Landscape. Auto uses your image dimensions to pick a best-fit layout.
The PDF file is larger than expected
High-resolution photos create larger PDFs. Resize the images before converting using the image resizer & compressor, then generate the PDF again.
File too large
If a file is over the per-image size limit, reduce it first (resize, export at a lower quality, or crop). Then add the smaller JPGs and convert again.
Tips and proven approaches
- Set the order first: Reorder images before converting so the PDF pages match your intended sequence.
- Use Fit for exact page sizes: Fit to image is ideal when you want each PDF page to match the original image dimensions.
- Use A4 or Letter for submissions: Many portals accept standard page sizes more reliably than custom-sized pages.
